Everyone Thinks
Your Marriage Is Fine…

But behind closed doors, you're quietly falling apart.

This is the silent grief of the Catholic marriage that looks “fine” on the outside.
This is what no one prepared you for.

  • “We’re like strangers. Just roommates now. How can we possibly stay together?”

  • “My spouse seems fine with how things are. But I’m miserable. I feel unseen, unloved, and deeply alone.”

  • “I can’t live like this forever but divorce is not an option. I just need someone to listen… someone who actually sees me.”

No matter how hard you try, something still feels off.

You feel like
you're walking on eggshells.

You can sense it before it starts: the tension in the room, the sigh, the silence.

You react. They react. And suddenly you're locked in the same argument… again.

It’s like a dance you both know by heart the same steps, the same triggers, the same ending.

You’ve tried to stop the cycle:

  • You’ve read the books.

  • Listened to the podcasts.

  • You’ve prayed, confessed, and tried to be “better.”

But nothing works.

I’m here to tell you a gentle truth that can change everything.

This isn’t about fixing yourself or fixing your marriage.

It’s about finally understanding yourself.

And from that place of clarity, you can begin to show up as a healed, mature, grace-filled gift of self, even if your spouse never changes.

Truth #1

You’re not responsible for your spouse’s emotions or behavior.

Truth #2

You are responsible for yours and how you respond.

Truth #3

You’re not just reacting to your spouse. You’re reacting to every unhealed wound, every part of you that never learned how to feel, speak, trust, or rest.

You and your marriage can be healed, even if your spouse isn’t on board.

You just need the courage to go first.

Healing a marriage doesn’t start with better communication or waiting for your spouse to “finally get it.”

It starts when you decide to change the steps in the dance, the one you’ve been stuck in for far too long.

That’s where mentorship comes in.

  • This is not therapy.

  • Not coaching.

  • Not a spiritual check-in once a month.

This is a daily, high-touch mentorship framework that meets you in the actual moments where things fall apart and walks with you, step-by-step, into clarity, healing, and real change.

It’s rooted in the truth of your Catholic faith. Informed by the wisdom of psychology. And designed for the real, raw experiences of marriage, motherhood, and the interior life.

Hi, I’m
Kristin Beck Chmiel.

I’m a certified mentor with the CatholicPsych Institute, trained in Integrated Daily Dialogic Mentorship (IDDM), and I also studied spiritual direction at Divine Mercy University.

For over a decade, I’ve served in the Catholic marriage ministry, offering Pre-Cana, enrichment programs, and personal accompaniment. I work one-on-one with individuals, especially those who are married, helping them navigate the interior work of healing, formation, and growth.

Marriage is my passion, and I believe it’s one of the most powerful places where God calls us to holiness and maturity.

Though raised in a devout Catholic family and educated in Catholic schools, I drifted from the faith in early adulthood. After the sudden loss of my mother at 23, and years of living as a “Sunday Catholic,” a profound reversion in my early 40s changed everything.

I began to see how unhealed wounds and lack of formation had shaped my life, and I longed to give others what I had once needed. I've been married 34 years, raised three children, and recently became a grandmother. My marriage is one of God’s greatest gifts to me, not because it’s been easy, but because it has been the very place where I’ve been stretched, refined, and deeply loved.

My mentorship style is creative, non-judgmental, and deeply personal, relational, psychologically grounded, and spiritually anchored. I meet you where you are and walk with you as you become the person God created you to be.

If you’re tired of white-knuckling it… Ready to stop waiting… Willing to go first….

That’s Why I Created….

Interior Work

How Mentorship Works

Mentorship is not therapy and it’s not a quick fix either.

It’s a consistent, personalized relationship built on daily dialogue, honest reflection, and deep trust. We begin where you are. Together, we uncover patterns, name parts, and integrate your story with clarity and compassion, always rooted in faith and sound psychology.

This isn’t about passively receiving advice. It’s about walking with someone who sees the whole you,  your desire to grow, your wounds, your hope, your calling and holding space for your transformation. Through voice-based, remote daily check-ins (Monday - Friday), we do the interior work that changes how you show up in your relationships, your vocation, and your spiritual life.

Unlike traditional once-a-week therapy sessions, mentorship meets you in the present moment of your struggles. Because of this real-time, responsive format, progress is often more efficient, and change is more lasting. And since mentorship happens remotely, we aren’t bound by geography, no matter where you live, this support is available to you.

Frequently Asked Questions

Honest answers to the questions people ask most.

Before beginning mentorship, it’s normal to wonder what makes this different and whether it’s right for you. Below are the most common questions I receive. If your question isn’t listed, just ask. I’d be happy to talk it through with you.

Understanding the Mentorship Model

What is mentorship?

Mentorship is a consistent and dependable journey of accompaniment. It’s a holistic approach that integrates psychology, spirituality, and Catholic anthropology, to help you grow in interior freedom and emotional clarity.

How is mentorship different from therapy?

Therapy is typically diagnosis-based and scheduled weekly. Mentorship offers daily, real-time support focused on your present struggles and transformation, without the clinical framework.

Who are mentors?

Mentors are trained in psychology, spirituality, and human formation. Mentorship offers the wisdom of a psychologist, the insight of a spiritual director, and the practicality of a life coach all in one.

How Daily Mentorship Works

What makes this model unique?

We use Voxer, a secure voice-messaging app. You can send messages at any time, and you’ll receive a personal voice reply within 24 hours (Monday through Friday). This is not a stop-and-start relationship. It’s daily, steady, and deeply personal.

How much access do I get?

You can message as often as needed. Your mentor will respond once each weekday. All messages are saved, so you can revisit insights anytime.

Is there a daily time limit?

Yes. To ensure mutual clarity and focus, we ask that your message time stays under 15 minutes total between mentor replies.

The Why Behind the Model

Why does this work better than weekly therapy?

Because healing happens in relationships, and relationships need rhythm. Instead of waiting for a weekly session, mentorship offers support day by day. You are cared for in the moment, not in hindsight.

What if my marriage is struggling but my spouse isn’t on board?

You can still experience real change. Many individuals begin mentorship without their spouse. Personal growth often brings healing into the relationship and creates space for deeper connection.

Fees, Commitment and Value

What does the commitment look like?

We recommend a three-month minimum. You’ll know within two weeks if it’s a good fit. If not, your first payment is fully refundable. Mentorship is billed monthly so you can focus on growth without worrying about scheduling or missed appointments.

How much does it cost?

Master Mentors are $1,497 per month. While the monthly format may feel different, clients often find that this approach leads to quicker and more lasting growth compared to traditional weekly sessions.

Faith and Integration

Is this a Catholic program?

Yes, and it’s for everyone.
Mentorship is rooted in Catholic anthropology and open to individuals of all backgrounds. You do not have to be Catholic to benefit. If you are open to grace, growth, and honest reflection, you are welcome here.

Can I do this if I’m already in therapy?

Yes. Many clients participate in both. Therapy often focuses on past issues or clinical concerns. Mentorship complements that work by supporting your emotional and spiritual integration in daily life.

Are You Ready?

If you’ve read this far, something inside you is already leaning forward.

You may not feel ready in every way, but you're likely ready enough to take the next step.

I work with a limited number of individuals at any given time so I can provide personalized, high-touch, daily support. This model is not mass-market. It is deeply custom, which means space is limited. When you’re ready, I encourage you to act.

This work is for you if you're ready to:
  • Stop circling the same old patterns

  • Replace wounds with wisdom and fear with freedom

  • Build a new rhythm of healing, clarity, and spiritual integration

  • Walk forward with steady support and daily reflection
